Atty. Lilia S. Garcia
Below is an email letter sent to Atty. Lilia S. Garcia of the University of Rizal System.
October
11, 2002
Dear
Atty. Garcia,
By
way of introduction, I am Normita Feliciano Fenn, president of the Morong High
School Alumni Assn. here in Northern California.
My husband Bob, together with my brother-in-law, Monico Mateo, Jr., had
the pleasure of meeting with you during their visit to the Philippines. I am looking forward to the pleasure of formally introducing
myself to you on my next trip home.
Due
to the interest of the alumni and the Morong Community on the issues regarding
the University of Rizal System, your name is almost a household name at our
gatherings. We wish you well as you
guide the institution in this challenging phase.
I am sure that by now you can feel the "electricity" from many,
many directions.
As
an alumni body, we are prepared to support the University of Rizal System to
make it successful. By the same
token, we hope that whoever takes on the responsibility of presiding over it,
will have the vision to include the Morong High School alumni in its map. We not only have our own personal sentiments, but more
importantly, we take great pride as graduates of Morong High School.
The school has produced many, many diverse groups of graduates who became
successful in their own way: farmers, housewives, doctors, educators, lawyers,
politicians, businessmen/women, etc. The
buildings where we shared tears and laughter are but a memory, but we remain
connected in spirit.
Please
view our alumni website at: www.mhsaainc.org
(kindly turn on your computer's audio)
I
am marking Mayor Jorge Bernardo and my two counterparts:
Lolita San Diego Magsino, president of So. California Chapter, and Rudy
Bautista, president of Florida Chapter, with a copy of this letter, as we are
united behind the ideals for which our alumni body stands for: to promote unity
and friendship among alumni, to support the goals and objectives of the
educational institutions, and to partner with the communities abroad and in the
Philippines.
Salamat
po at Mabuhay!
Respectfully
yours,
Normita Feliciano Fenn
