Recognition Award Program

 

Committee: 

 Shall consist of the President, and all Past Presidents (Advisers) of the MHSAA Northern California Chapter.

  Chair:   Dante Pascual
Purpose: To identify, evaluate, and recognize extraordinary contributions of individual alumni to the Morong High School Alumni Association - Northern California Chapter.

Eligibility:

a. Perform services to the Association as an officer, director and adviser with due diligence and leadership; and/or
b. Perform services to the Association as a committee member and/or alumni with consistency.
Criteria: Recognizable contributions shall consist of the following measurable           criteria and scored based on weighted factors*:
A. Dedication: Consistently performs his/her responsibility to the Association with willingness and enthusiasm. 25%

B.  Leadership:

Demonstrates judgment in the performance of his/her tasks.  Takes on responsibility requiring decision-making skills. 30%

C. Teamwork:

Encourages and motivates participation of other alumni in every aspect of the Association's activities. 15%
D. Creativity: Introduces ideas and concepts for the short and long-term growth of the Association. 15%

E. Network:

Reaches out to other MHSAA Chapters and Morong community organizations for mutual relationships. 10%

F.  Volunteerism:

Participates as a volunteer in charitable organizations and fundraising activities. 5%
Total Weighted Score:   100%
*Weighted scores can be adjusted based on the nominee's degree of performance in each of the criteria.

                                                                   

Procedures and Guidelines

Recognition Award Committee shall entertain nominations on a regular basis for review and consideration. 

§         A nomination form shall be completed, signed and submitted to the committee stating the nominee's qualifications for award;

§         Committee shall accept multiple nominations for the same individual and combine weighted scores;

§         If a tie occurs between two nominees:

  1. Committee shall consider factors such as length of each nominees' active participation in the Association, or take a vote.
  2. Committee shall have the authority to recognize and award both nominees.  

§         Committee shall utilize the official award nomination score sheet when reviewing and approving nominations.

§ Official announcement shall be made at the Association's regular chapter meeting; and

§         Official recognition award shall be made at an upcoming social gathering of the Association.  

 

 

 

The Recognition Award Committee of the Morong High School Association-Northern California Chapter pledges to exercise its sound judgment based on the criteria set forth, with strict adherence to the Procedures and Guidelines as established.  Any committee member may excuse himself/herself from voting if a possible conflict of interest occurs.   Terms of this Program are subject to modifications as deemed necessary.
